How Can severe Groin Pain Be Treated?

my husband has been having some acute pain in the groin area for over 2 mths If he moves his leg a certain way he yells .It does not last long ...he had an x ray done but nothing was seen I t also happens during the night when he turns ...after he limps for a while

It appears to be a case of soft tissue injury, mostly a muscle pull.
I would recommend cold compresses with ice packs, over the counter pain killers ike Acetaminophen or Ibuprofen. Reduce movement of legs, especially running, climbing, cycling etc.
Also a visit to a physiotherapist is advisable.
